Invariably when people consider losing weight they think about going on a diet plan. By and large, this means finding some popular fad diet and trying to follow all of its restrictive practices and recipes, like lemon juice, turmeric and maple syrup. But in all honestly, who really enjoys these combinations? Do you like cutting out entire food groups such as carbohydrates or drinking a bizarre concoction that simply don’t fill you up or taste very appealing.


In all honesty it is doubtful if many people really enjoy it.  It should be noted, there are other diet plans out there that have are balanced and enjoyable and these do have some merit.  If a diet is your desired option, then it is prudent to research the different diet options out there, to ensure you find a dietary plan that is not going to have a negative physical and mental effect on your well being.

If you do not follow a proper diet plan, and think that just not eating is the way to lose weight, you will quickly find out that besides being very hungry you will start to fell unwell due to not getting enough vitamins and nutrients. You’re body’s metabolism will possible be affected – it might not make you lose weight much at first as your body starts to store all the fat it can when you do eat. On a serious note: if you do this too much you could increase your potential of having serious medical issues.


    • Fad Diets – Fad diets having been around for a long time, with celebrity endorsers and huge marketing budgets behind them Fad diets have played a major part in peoples weight loss plans. Fad diets invariably consist of removing one particular food group entirely from your diet or drinking an unusual mixture of ingredients to facilitate lose weight. Not only can these be unhealthy and potentially dangerous, they can leave you feeling sluggish from not receiving enough vitamins and nutrients. In the end, even if you do initially lose weight, these diets usually fail because they are too restrictive and as soon as you stop them you invariable start putting the weigh back on.


    • Counting Calories –Sometimes counting every little calorie we take in is very bothersome and frustrating to people. Because of this, some people may give up on their diet altogether
