FLORENCE, S.C. – Staff members of the WellSpring Psychology Group held a ribbon cutting Wednesday afternoon alongside ambassadors from the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce to introduce their new mental health resource guide, “The Helper’s Almanac.”
The Helper’s Almanac is a comprehensive mental health resource directory and is the brainchild of the mental health professionals at WellSpring. The guide provides both psychologists and the public with a means of identifying and utilizing behavioral health services in the Pee Dee area.
The book will feature 14 sections of mental health programs including counseling, autism services, substance abuse programs, and psychiatry services, among others. The book will be distributed throughout Florence, Darlington and Marion counties at schools, nonprofit organizations, hospitals and other medical facilities.
Along with a list of service options, The Helper’s Almanac will also feature advertisements that mental health organizations can purchase as a way to further extend their reach to possible patients. The resource guide is scheduled to be published in the spring of 2018.
